Since January 2009, Madagascar has been experiencing a social, political and economic crisis. The on-going conflict, initiated by the personal and political differences between the two former mayors of the capital Antananarivo, has been paralyzing the country ever since. The country´s politicians, with the help of the international society, are still unable to find a common ground for resolving the conflict.
